Our Mission

At Charlene’s Circle of Support, our mission is to create a community where the shadow of parental mental illness, substance abuse, or incarceration no longer defines the futures of underserved youth. Through our programs and services, we strive to provide the resources and support needed to empower and cultivate a compassionate and empowered community. Join us in making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve by supporting our mission and helping us spread the word.

Who We Are

Founded in Commemoration of our Beloved Mother Charlene

Charlene’s Circle of Support was founded to commemorate our beloved mother, Charlene, who unexpectedly passed away in 2018. Our conviction lies in recognizing the potential and influence of every young individual. Join us in this extraordinary initiative as we aim to empower underserved youth.  Together, we can create a positive impact and foster a world where all youth have the opportunity to thrive. Supporting youth resonates deeply with us, and, much like the village that supported us, we are resolute in building a community of our own that can extend the same support to others.

Our Story

Our Beloved Mother Charlene

Charlene was a strong-minded woman and was never afraid to express herself. She was extremely resourceful and lived to help others in any way possible. Despite experiencing significant adversities, including mental illness, substance abuse, and incarceration, she never allowed these hardships to define her identity. Instead, she demonstrated resilience, determination, and strength in overcoming these obstacles. Charlene's journey reflects a commitment to personal growth and the power of resilience in shaping a positive and fulfilling life for her daughters.
